Parents can now put money on their child’s meal account over the internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week using PayForIt.net. Setting up an account will take less then 5 minutes. We encourage parents to set up an account and begin using the system. If they place money on their child’s account anytime this summer, it will be there when school begins in August.

One of the best features of this program is the ability for parents to track the account balances and be notified when their child’s account balance is low. This will be an effective way of keeping parents informed.
Even if parents do not want to make payments via their credit card, they are encouraged to set up an account so they can track their students account balances and take advantage of the low balance notification service. No payments are required to take advantage of these services.

TO SET UP AN ACCOUNT, ALL YOU NEED IS:
• A valid email address
• A credit card
• Child’s 9 digit student identification number (Not SSN). This number is available by visiting the Parent Portal or on your child’s report card.
• Child’s name as they are registered at school.

HOW TO SET UP YOUR PAYFORIT ACCOUNT:
• Visit www.ccsnutrition.org and click on the www.payforit.net link.
• Click on “Sign up for Account”
• Select Canon City Schools from the drop down menu.
• Enter requested information and click “next”
• Follow on screen instructions and wait for confirmation e-mail.
• Click link provided in your confirmation e-mail and follow instructions.
• If an account is set up prior to mid/late July, please enter the school and grade your child was in during the 07-08 school year. The money will automatically transfer to their new school and grade.
• Once account is set up, simply click on “my account” and then “my email options” to opt into low balance notification and other services.

Each child in your family can be set up on the same account. If you decide to put money on your child’s account, there is a 5.75% per transaction. Once the money is put on the account, it typically appears in your child’s account within 24 hours.
